Housed in the Big Dog Garage in California is Jay Leno’s collection of amazing cars. He might not have one of every car that’s ever been made, but it sure feels like it. His car collection alone is estimated to be worth more than $150 million. We can’t review all of his cars, but we can give you a top ten of some of the most expensive in the collection.

1934 Duesenberg Walker Coup

The most expensive car in the collection is this Duesenberg from 1934. Originally, the car sold for $25,000, not it’s worth more than $20 million. This particular car is the only version of the nameplate left in the world, which is what makes it so rare and valuable. This machine is powered by an incredible inline 8-cylinder engine with downdraft carburetors producing 265 horsepower. That’s a whole lot of power for a depression-era car. This machine is a huge part of the enormous value of the collection.

2006 EcoJet

One of the cars Jay Leno owns that was never produced is the EcoJet. This one-off supercar was built in collaboration with GM and showcased at the SEMA show. The car stole the show in Las Vegas, which is extremely difficult to do. The EcoJet not only has an incredibly striking design but a sustainable powertrain which is made of a 650 horsepower Honeywell Lt-101 turbine engine which operates entirely on biodiesel. This car also features a modified Z06 aluminum frame with magnesium components.

McLaren F1

When the McLaren F1 first came to the market, it took the Guinness World Record as the fastest production car in the world with a 240.1 mph top speed. The production only lasted six years, and only 106 were ever made. This rarity leads to why Leno’s version is valued at $12 million. This iconic supercar still brings some of the legendary design elements from Gordon Murray to the track. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

This amazing car is a true work of art and one of the most expensive cars owned by Jay Leno. This car is valued at more than $4.8 million, but it’s much more than just a number for this car. The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is an engineering masterpiece with carbon fiber bodywork and amazing performance. This car can rocket to 60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest cars in the world. The Trevita hits 125 mph in only 8.75 seconds on the way to a top speed of 254 mph, making it one of the fastest cars in the world.

1928 Bentley Speed 6

Bentley has created some of the most amazing and exciting cars in the world for many years. This brand has been around for more than 100 years, and when you hear the name, you instantly know the car is made right. This car in Leno’s collection is valued between $3-4 million. What you might not know about the Bentley Speed 6 is that it’s a racing model. This car was only around for four years and the brand only built 554 examples, but it dominated the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1929 and 1930.

1967 Lamborghini Miura P400

This car is well-known as the start of the modern-day hypercar. The Miura is a rare car, with only 764 ever made, and it brings the low-slung style and power that we love. The value of these cars has gone up quickly over the past several years. This is one of the most expensive cars owned by Jay Leno, and it has a value of nearly $3.5 million. His gorgeous Miura P400 features a 3.9-liter V12 engine.

1939 Lagonda V12

We don’t find Lagonda in the market any longer, but at one time, this name was among British automotive royalty. The Lagonda V12 brought sportiness to the world, giving us something truly special. This car in Leno’s collection is valued at $2.56 million, and it brings something special to the collection. It’s nearly impossible to find an original Lagonda V12 engine today. This model is a custom-built replica, which keeps the value lower than it would be if it was an original.

1955 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing Coupe

It might not be the most expensive car owned by Jay Leno, but it’s one of the coolest. The Mercedes 300SL is valued at $1.8 million, but it is a car that represents design and engineering ahead of its time. Leno is the third owner of this car which is a former race car. The team at Leno’s garage rebuilt the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine to give it 180 horsepower at the wheels.

2014 McLaren P1

When you want a raw and savage driving experience, the McLaren P1 is the car that gives it to you. Jay Leno has one, and it’s valued at $1.35 million. This incredible supercar was put to the test against a Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder for a drag race, which was quite a show. Leno was able to get one of the first-ever P1 models to hit the United States. His car can hit 217 mph, which is an electronically limited top speed, leaving us to wonder if it could be much faster.

1963 Chrysler Turbine

We haven’t seen any American cars on this list, save the EcoJet, but in the tenth spot we find one. The Chrysler Turbine is one of the ten most expensive cars owned by Jay Leno, with a value of more than $1 million. This car has an interesting story with only 50 models made for testing and only 55 ever actually produced. To date, only nine models of this car survived, one of which is in Leno’s collection. This car produced 130 horsepower and 425 lb-ft o torque from an experimental turbine engine.
