You will see more of Dodge/SRT and Mopar in the NHRA this year at various racing events around the country to gain visibility for the brand.

The Dodge/SRT and Mopar partnership has been a strong one for many years and the companies have worked together to perfect the lineup of vehicles offered under the Dodge brand and the performance upgrades that can be added from the Mopar brand.

As two of the most well-known and respected names in the automotive world, you might not think it important that they increase their visibility, but any chance to get a name in front of people is an important one. 

The Right Place for Dodge

One of the flagship models offered by Dodge is the Challenger SRT Hellcat and its many forms that we’ve seen in the past couple of years. If this car can do anything the right way, it has to be racing down a dragstrip in a straight-line race. This is what the NHRA (the National Hot Rod Association) offers as the racing that’s performed. It seems this marriage was nearly made in heaven with the Dodge/SRT and Mopar involvement in more of the NHRA events going forward for this new calendar year of racing.

The Brands Partner with Pennzoil

In the past, the Dodge/SRT and Mopar sponsorship and partnership with Pennzoil at events in the NHRA circuit was limited to only two events every year. This year, that number is doubled to give you the visibility of these names at four events throughout the year.

This growth shows the added success of FCA to be able to double its involvement and the commitment to the power and performance offered by the Dodge brand through the SRT models that offer the features and the power that we want to experience during our own driving experience.

Which Events Will Dodge be Involved In?

The partnership with Pennzoil will double to the following four events:

 Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals Presented by Pennzoil which is scheduled for April 12-14 near Houston

 Dodge Mile-High NHRA Nationals Presented by Pennzoil in the Denver from July 19-21

 Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals Presented by Pennzoil in Reading, PA from September 12-15

 Dodge NHRA Nationals Presented by Pennzoil from October 31-November 3 in Las Vegas, NV

The Duties of the Dodge/SRT and Mopar Sponsorships

Mopar will claim the headline sponsor for the Houston race weekend with Dodge/SRT being the title sponsor for Las Vegas. These are the two changes to the schedule that were added as these brands were already the sponsors for the Denver and Reading events.

The growing interest in drag racing makes this the right place for the Dodge team to add their influence and allow their name to be shared and shown.
