The Chevy Blazer EV made headlines when it first arrived in 2023 as a 2024 model. This gas-free version of the popular Blazer is ready for anything with electric motors giving it the power to go from zero to 60 in under four seconds. If you wait to go to a Chevy dealer to find a 2025 Blazer EV, you might be surprised that it has a lower base price than the 2024. Here’s what you need to know.
Status Quo For Features in 2025
Since the 2025 Blazer EV will be just the second year for the SUV, it’s not a surprise that most of the features will remain the same. What’s different is the base price. It drops by up to $1,200.
Wait? That’s Now an Option?
With the new lower price, some of the previously standard features are now available as options. The dual-level charge cord is now an option you can add, and the Comfort and Convenience Package for the LT and RS trims is now an optional package. If you want this package for the LT, it gets you a wireless phone charger, a power tailgate, and heated front seats. It also comes with a heated steering wheel.
This same package for the RS has a head-up display, a heated wiper, and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
What Kind of Power Will I Get with the Blazer EV?
The 2024 Blazer EV is currently available in the LT and RS trims. The LT can be powered by either one or two motors, but with the dual motor setup, it gets 288 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The RS is also available with one or two motors, but the single motor setup is rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive.
An SS model is on its way. If you can wait to go to your Chevy dealer for this Blazer EV, you’ll get a dual-motor setup that generates 557 horsepower.
A Techy Cabin for EV Drivers
There is no shortage of tech in the Blazer EV, whether you have the 2024 model or wait for the 2025. You’ll see it as soon as you open the door. A 17.7-inch touchscreen stretches across the dashboard. It comes loaded with Google Built-In, so you have your Google Assistant with you no matter where you go. This means that all you need to do is ask, and you can get directions, the distance to the next charging station, or access to your grocery list. And you can keep your hands on the wheel while you do it.
All the Safety You’ll Need
It’s probably not a surprise that one of the latest Chevy models at your Chevy dealer has the latest safety equipment. We’re talking blind-spot intervention, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic braking. If you want more, you can also get adaptive cruise control, intersection collision mitigation, rear automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system.
