When you’re the Most Valuable Player of the Major League Baseball All-Start Game, you receive an award. That award is a vehicle from Chevrolet and this year the brand offered a choice of two vehicles to the MVP, Alex Bregman.
The choice he had was between a redesigned 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe and a new Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 to be the one that he can show off as the car he won for being named to this honor. Bregman made the choice of the Camaro, but it’s certainly an option we’d all like to have when it’s time for a drive.

Why Was He Chosen?

The MLB All-Star Game features the league’s best players every year as a break in the action in the middle of the year. This was the first All-Star Game appearance for Bregman and he hit the game-winning home run in extra innings that gave the American League the victory over the National League. For this feat, he was awarded the Chevrolet Camaro SS which is a great car that he can certainly show off, or donate to a charity of his choice to bring some good and money to a fantastic cause.

The Camaro Awarded

The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro that was awarded is the SS trim which gives Bregman the ability to enjoy the shifting perfection of the ten-speed paddle-shifting automatic transmission. This system also offers custom launch control and line lock to be able to perform burnouts and show off in a parking lot. The Chevrolet infotainment 3 system is included which offers navigation, a Rear Camera Mirror, and Forward Collision Alerts along with the connectivity desired of Apple Car Play, Android Auto, and Bluetooth for the perfect drive when Alex chooses to take this car to and from the ballpark.
Up front, the new Camaro SS shows off with a distinct style, LED headlights, and a reshaped hood. The new SS-specific flowtie open bowtie grill emblem and aero-enhancing air curtains are included to help make sure this car is ready to ride and can be taken to the track. In the rear, the car has a new fascia and a Dual Mode Exhaust for the sounds Bregman can love when he drives on the impressive new 20-inch wheels. This is certainly a car that was an easy choice when it comes to selecting the prize offered.

The Chevrolet Partnership

Since 2005, Chevrolet has been the Official Vehicle of the MLB and an Official Partner in the PLAY BALL initiative. This initiative is an effort to encourage young people to participate in baseball and softball in their communities. Since this initiative began in 2015, Chevrolet has donated more than 150,000 equipment kids to kids around the country to be able to play baseball or softball. They have also raised more than $36 million and offered more than 1,800 free skills clinics to the public to bring an interest in baseball and softball to more than seven million boys and girls.
