The 911 Carrera S is finally gaining a turbocharged engine which will help it improve every facet of driving.  This new engine pushes more horsepower and better torque than before but that is not the only changes to this car that will make you want to drive a car that has been the signature of quality and precision from Porsche for so many years.  Now with this turbocharged power plant under the hood you know the Porsche will be ready to give you even more than ever and make one of the best choices for sports car driving you can find.

As this mid-generation refresh makes its way to use at the end of next year it will be powered by a new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six cylinder engine that pushes out 420 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque.  This gives us a boost of nearly 20 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. of torque over the previous model and makes for a car that can really take a corner at fast speeds and whip around the track letting you enjoy everything you can imagine a car like this to be.  The difference is made not just in the power, but with the turbos, the fact that the power is delivered across the spectrum much easier than before.

The straightaway speed of this new Porsche comes in at 3.7 seconds for a run to sixty mph and a top speed that is only slightly better than before.  The fuel efficiency is improved by nearly thirteen percent, which is what you would expect from a turbo engine.  With this new Carrera S, you will be able to find your driving excitement and get to that place you want to be whether it’s a winding country road, an amazing straight track of pavement, or the race track where you can show off.

In a similar style to the Ferrari cars, this Porsche has five different drive modes to select from  in order to pick the right driving for you.  These five are Normal, Individual, Sport, Sport Plus and Sport Response with the Sport Response being made for the track and less for the open road.  These different modes change the way the powertrain, dampers, rear air dam and exhaust perform to give you the best ride for the selected driving mode and make it easier to enjoy the ride in your brand new Porsche.
