Recently, a new Ford Super Duty was announced alongside plans to put millions into a Kentucky Truck Plant. Now, we’re finding out what this new truck has in store as the next-generation Super Duty that will be in Ford dealer lots as soon as next year.
Ford Super Duty Exterior Updates and Interior Features
The design of the new Super Duty F-Series trucks is all about combining aesthetic with function, and it delivers an aggressively powerful-looking luxury vehicle. The hood looks like it’s made out of pure muscle, the tires are flush with the fenders, and the many grille options and color choices let you enhance and customize your look right from a Ford dealer’s lot.
The interior includes a 12-inch instrument cluster and an 8-inch center display -which upgrades to a 12-inch on trims above XL. There are as many as four USB ports and a wireless charging pad to connect and charge your devices.
The seats were designed with space and comfort in mind: they can fold nearly horizontally for extra storage but are soft and sturdy enough for long drives. A standard 8-speaker sound system and an optional 18-speaker audio package give you concert-level volume at the push of a button.
Tech and Safety Specifics
Ford knows that big trucks are hard to travel in at times, so the company has provided driver assistance and safety technology that makes trips in the Super Duty as easy as possible.
There’s trailer-specific navigation that takes the size of your vehicle and hauling equipment into account when planning routes, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control with lane keep assistance, a pro trailer hitch assist for automatically lining up tow attachments, brake assist technology and plenty more that will let you enjoy driving and hauling in the most safety and comfort possible.
You can access much more tech using the FordPass app, such as onboard scales and a trailer theft alert system. Additional packages provide features for off-roading, towing-specific equipment, and increased luxury will be available at your local Ford dealer location.
New Engines and Trims for All Super Duty Types
The Super Duty work truck has two new engines alongside the 6.7-liter Power Stroke and 7.3-liter V8 engines. One new engine is gas, and the other is turbodiesel, so you can choose the engine that fits your needs while being assured of its power.
Trims XLT and higher will have a standard four-wheel drive for off-road enthusiasts, but even the most basic model of the 2023 Super Duty F-Series trucks will have everything you need to work hard and play hard. Exterior and interior design and many of the safety and tech features mentioned above are available in all trims.
Plenty to Look Forward to in the New Ford Super Duty
With all this power, luxury, and tech combined in one vehicle, Ford lovers will be dying to see it when it finally reaches Ford dealers worldwide. Now the question is: when will that be?
