The Polestar team that drives for Volvo and head out to race cars to show that what they have created is better and ready to drive on the track has shown they are right and worth the attention we need to give them. The Polestar team was officially crowned as the FIA World Touring Championship winners recently and with that, the celebration has begun. The Polestar models we’ve been waiting for with begin to make their way to the market and a pair of special editions will be a huge part of this development and release in the upcoming months.

The Volvo team has now created the V60 an S60 Polestar Performance World Champion Editions to give us more of the performance items and the qualities that we’re

going to want to enjoy when we get out on the road for a fun and active drive. These two new models are going to pack the qualities and the items we want including 19-inch alloy wheels, performance focused tires, a stainless steel exhaust, an upgraded air filter, improved dampers and springs, and much more. These two versions allow us to have the ride that will be perfect for the drive we want with more fun from Volvo.

The Sub-brand Gets a Jump Start

We’ve already been told the new Polestar brand will become the sub-brand from Volvo to offer performance for the future. This brand has recently begun its move forward with a new massive production center in China to have a place these new performance vehicles will be built and developed. For the two new models that will be offered right away, you’ll have added power under the hood to stand out from the other models of the same name with the ability to drive faster and go where you want.

The Polestar team has worked in conjunction with Cyan Racing for many years to create the road cars that we’ve seen making their way to the market. This was the first time the team entered the FIA World Touring Car Championship and it seems fitting they were able to secure the win over other models and brands that were the competition. The development of more performance of the cars that were entered in the races makes it possible for this team to make sure we can have the features we want for the drive.

The new Polestar Performance World Champion Edition package is being offered across the lineup of the S60 and V60 for the D4, D5, T5, and T6 models. These models will be easy to see on the road with the new upgrades that include the diffuser and spoiler that help keep the cars stuck to the track, or in your case, to the road. There is also a Polestar gear lever to let you handle the shifting needed when you get out on the road and drive. These new special edition models are going to be amazing to drive and could be the right choice for you when they get to the dealership in your area.
