For years Shelby has been a partner with Ford to improve and upgrade the Mustang.  A model that was built, designed and upgraded by Carroll Shelby himself was certainly a piece of art and the company has taken his grand tradition to continue on.  Most of the time we think of Shelby as only being a part of Ford for the Mustang or for racing in which the pair have enjoyed a great deal of success, but for the SEMA show this year, Shelby showed us something that might be a bit unexpected, but was certainly a welcome addition to the show and to the lineup.

What we had the pleasure of witnessing at SEMA was a gorgeous F-150 that is adorned with the Shelby name and logo on it.  Of course this means it is no ordinary F-150 and you could tell that right from the start as you look at the nose of the beast which resembles a boxer that has taken a ton of punches in his time and come out on top more often than not.  Aside from this awesome bullish front end this truck just shouts out power and performance from every angle to give us a massive beast to truly admire.

With the help of Tuscany Motor Company, Shelby upgraded this truck to bring us a brute that is certainly well worth the time and effort they put into it.  This big beast took on a V8 engine that went from 395 horsepower to one that offers you 700 ponies galloping under the hood.  This is the result of a new supercharger, a new cold air intake, a billet high flow throttle body, better fuel injectors and a Borla exhaust system, which all work hard to bring you the awesome power you deserve when you drive a truck with the Shelby name on it.

Of course if you buy this truck you will want to be able to head off road and Shelby added some cool parts for doing just that.  These include a performance suspension kit that came from Shelby, Fox and BDS, 18-inch Shelby wheels and BFGoodrich K02 tires.  Toss in the racing stripes and you have one amazing looking and performing truck that can take you just about anywhere you want to go regardless if there are roads or not.  As you might expect though, this truck will not come at a cheap price at all.

The price for this new Shelby American Ford F-150 will start out at $85,495 and that will only get you the base 395 horsepower engine.  If you want to enjoy the awesome power of the full 700 ponies you will have to cough up $98,995 to have all the power you want.  There will only be 500 of these models made and they will certainly go fast as many buyers look for a way to have the most power in a truck they can, which this version of the F-150 gives them easily.  As you can see, this is proof Shelby does more than just Mustangs, which those of us who love a great truck can certainly be thankful for.
